It was a gloomy day for us. Sometimes no matter how you plan your dreams, prepared for it over years and exerted so much effort to turn everything to its proper place. It will never be if it is not really meant to be yours. No matter how much pain and sadness but the reality knocks and acceptance is a must….
We thought finally we found our home. A place where we will grow old together. A retirement sanctuary after being tired and fulfilled with all the obligations being parents and responsible citizen. Simply a place we called “Home”…
After all the inquiries, browsing the net, reading real estate ads and talking to different agents accidentally on our way going up to Antipolo, we were supposed to have a meeting to a property agent very far away from the city, I saw this humble near to senior age couple. They were sitting down into an old kubo along the highway. tarpaulins were posted in front of them. I told Arcturus to stop the car and inquire. We told them that our budget particularly monthly amortization for house and lot will be up to maximum of 12-14k only.
The couple accompany us to this not so big property within Antipolo City. Very near to everything. We were familiar with the place since I am doing several hosting at Loreland farm resort. It was really pleasant. We never thought that the property cost will only range 1.3 up. It is a single detach property with 2 bedrooms, kitchen, living room, pocket Garden and a garage provision. Perfect for us since we were living on a condominium. Enough space and a place to walk around deprive from us. We fell in love with the place and not to mention few slots left because it is fast selling and the rate is very reasonable. never to mention the area is convenient going anywhere.
We decided to reserve our slot right away. After a week we settle for our complete down payment . We were able to receive all the documents such as contract, official receipt authenticated and sealed, house rule copy etc. etc.. We were able to submit also our business permit and other pertinent papers for the developer to forward all those to their accredited banks. We were supposed to pay the remaining balance tru bank financing loan at 14k+ monthly, just fit enough to our monthly budget.
Our children were so excited. Specially when we visited the place last November 2010. The sun is rising but the weather is so relaxing, cool,breezy and free from so much crowd and pollution. It was so ideal to the point that we wanted to transfer right away but of course the construction of our dear home is ongoing that time. December 2010, We work very hard saving for our dream house improvement. Tiles, kitchen extension and perimeter fencing is not included. Work, work, work to the point that my weight went down from 129 to 101lbs. Same with my husband but not too much reduction on him though.
We kept on following up about our bank loan update but no answer has been given. After a week. Developer called and told us that PS bank didnt approve our loan but they will ask for a second review. After the advice, we receive the permit to occupy the place since we paid for the dues, water meter, insurance fire and health. That is why we decided to prioritize the tiles first. Maverick has seasonal asthma and dust is a no-no to him. It was a full effort choosing the right tiles with appropriate boarders, colors and design. We were able to penetrate depots and we arrive buying some at Wilcon builder, Mariwasa tiles for 2nd floor hallway and stairs. Italian tiles for our living room, Federal for Boarders, Eurotiles for grout and adhesives etc… At the end of the day. We were tired and exhausted. Manning of our good men doing the labor. providing them enough food was a pleasant experience.
January 2011, BPI also declined our loan application. The reason ” Insufficient mode of Income”. We advise the developer if they also submit our credentials at Union bank which we were more confident because based on our record of our current car loan. The payment is consistent and it is actually a good vouch for them to approve us but to our dismay. The application is pending and there is no guarantee of possible result. Credit investigator has an organization and if we were disapprove other bank will be advised. In short, they have transparent access to all loan applicants. Pirating if ever is the name of the game. The developer already charge us 23,085 as first month in house financing instead of falling it as bank financing. There will be no other choice but to continue paying the property as in house financing for 10 years.
It was a stiff decision. I cannot stop my tears falling down. It really makes me sad. too much pain. I am only talking to my husband and we are holding each other strength to let this circumstances surpass. It was all of good reason why we wanted to have this home. How come people judge us of our capacity? We work very hard and make sure our obligation will be prioritize before anything. But of course It was their decision and we cannot do anything about it. We just think and telling ourselves that if its really for us, its for us but if not lets just be thankful. Maybe God has some other plans for us.
We rest our case. We decided to sell the property instead of trying which we believe we are not capable of. Better to let it go and maybe there will be a right place for us soon. Selling it for at least we can get back all our expenses and move on. We just hope, Right person with a heart of loving it will be given the privilege to own it. It was a dream home and I think it will be hard nowadays to find a nice place like that.
